These are made up of mostly long strands of simple sugars. They are found in grains, fruits and other vegetables. Complex carbohydrates are more natural than simple simple carbohydrates and have more nutritional value than they do. Complex carbohydrates are the good carbohydrates, meaning they are better for you and do more positive things for the body. These types of carbohydrates are harder to break down, meaning it keeps you fuller longer. Personal trainers usually recommend eating a bowl of oatmeal in the morning because it breaks down slowly, giving you energy throughout the day, at least until it's time for your next meal. The complex carbohydrates in oatmeal are enough to jump start your day and keep you moving.
