What Are Good Carbohydrates?

"I didn't know there was such a thing as good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates. But after a lot of research, I realized that all carbs are good carbs in their own way. It just depends on how much you eat and for what reason. For instance, the so called 'bad carbs' have their purpose. After a workout, you need something to kick start the healing process of muscles being ripped and carbohydrates being burned. So, for that reason you take your 'bad carbs' or simple sugars. Now, in the morning when you get up to go to work or school, you need something that will hold you over until your next break. That is when you want to stock up on your good carbohydrates. The good carbohydrates take longer to break down, so you feel fuller longer. It supplies with your energy so you won't run low early in your day. So both play their roles in the diet and eating healthy game."

"I was never a breakfast person to begin with. I used to just have a glass of orange juice and call it a morning. But not even an hour into work I would feel sluggish and hungry. I would feel so fatigued, and it wasn't even close to lunch time. I went to see a doctor because I thought maybe I had iron deficiency.
